Requirements of becoming a "Knight"

Many ask what it takes to become a Knight, or what are the "requirements"?

The "text book" answer is: You must be a man, over 18 years of age, and be a practical Catholic.

Those of us who are Knights, know the answer goes much deeper. Yes, the man must of legal age to decide to give of himself, to be willing to support his fellow man in prayer, spirituality, time and talent. There are thousands of councils around the world, all reporting to the Supreme Council in New Haven Connecticut. Yet, each council has an identity of its own, a personality of its own, reflective of the Grand Knight and the officers under him.

Another great advantage of being a Knight is having access to the Knights of Columbus Insurance. The Knights of Columbus offer insurance products addressing life, annuities and long term care.
